About the Company

TELUS Digital AI Community is a worldwide network of more than one million contributors from a wide range of backgrounds. Community members support customers by collecting, improving, training, translating, and localizing content used in the development and enhancement of AI models.

Through this work, the community contributes to innovative AI technologies used by some of the world’s largest brands.

About the Role

TELUS Digital is looking for an Online Data Analyst to assess and verify information related to maps, locations, businesses, and online search results.

The analyst’s work contributes to AI Engineer workflows and AI model development by checking and validating data used to enhance digital products and AI systems.

Digital maps are used by millions of people to navigate, discover locations, and access information. Their reliability depends on the accuracy of the underlying data. In this role, the Online Data Analyst will use knowledge of the Netherlands, online research, project guidelines, advanced mapping tools, and reference materials to help ensure that this information is accurate.

This is a fully remote and flexible independent contractor opportunity. Contributors are expected to participate regularly each week when tasks are available.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and verify map, business, address, location, and geographic data.
  • Conduct research using online maps, search engines, directories, and other trustworthy sources.
  • Cross-check information from several sources and identify the most accurate result.
  • Review Dutch and English search results and related information.
  • Use advanced mapping tools and detailed reference materials to verify geographic and business data.
  • Apply detailed project guidelines when completing evaluations.
  • Work on different task types depending on project requirements.
  • Participate in Maps, Search and Relevance, Audio, and other available task categories.
  • Deliver accurate evaluations that support the improvement of digital products and AI systems.
  • Meet the quality and accuracy standards established for the project.

Training materials, detailed guidelines, reference resources, and practical examples are provided to support contributors before and throughout their participation in the project.

Requirements

  • Professional fluency in both Dutch and English.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch.
  • Residence in the Netherlands for the previous five consecutive years.
  • Strong knowledge of the regional, cultural, and geographic context of the Netherlands.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and consistently follow detailed project instructions.
  • Willingness to complete different types of tasks, including Maps, News, Audio, and Relevance assignments.
  • Availability to participate regularly each week when tasks are available.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Access to a personal computer.

The project is best suited to contributors who are interested in consistent and ongoing participation rather than completing assignments only occasionally.

Qualification Process

Candidates must complete a qualification process before gaining access to project assignments.

The process includes:

  • Creating and completing a contributor profile.
  • Submitting a short overview of professional or personal background.
  • Completing identity verification through the required secure process.
  • Studying the provided open-book guide.
  • Reviewing project examples and evaluation instructions.
  • Completing an open-book qualification assessment independently within the assigned timeframe.
  • Receiving project assignment details and access credentials after successfully passing the assessment.

Working Conditions and Benefits

  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Ability to participate from home using a personal computer and reliable internet connection.
  • Flexible participation with no fixed working schedule.
  • Structured onboarding before completing the first live assessment.
  • Access to detailed evaluation guidelines and supporting reference materials.
  • Regular performance feedback designed to help contributors understand project expectations and improve accuracy.
  • Opportunity for ongoing participation when tasks are available.
  • Possibility to work on different task categories based on project needs and individual qualifications.
  • Access to a contributor support team for questions related to project guidelines, technical matters, and administrative topics.
  • Flexibility to decide when to participate and how much available work to complete, subject to project availability, qualification criteria, and quality requirements.
  • Independent contractor arrangement.

This opportunity does not establish an employment relationship with TELUS Digital.
